in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. With many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water, carved low-reliefs about Ramayana Story and day-to-day life at the time of Angkor’s construction. Then continue to explore Ta Prohm Temple of Tomb Raider fame and often referred to as the “one with the trees”, is a phenomenal example of the interplay between man and nature and should not be missed.

In the afternoon visit the “Great City” of Angkor Thom, visits the Jayavarman’s state temple of Bayon

Day 3. Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Grand Circle (B)

Morning after breakfast, we travel to Banteay Srei temple (10th century) which is regarded as the jewel
in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, built in the third quarter of the
12th century. It consists of a central temple with four wings preceded by a hall and accompanied by two
libraries, the southern example remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble.
Our next destination is Ta Prohm – one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been
relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

In the afternoon, we continue our temple visits to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah
Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm,
however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration
efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a
pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som.

Day 4. Kampong Pluk – Roluos group (B)

Breakfast at hotel
Take the private boat to visit the village of Kampong Pluk, the most beautiful village on Tonle Sap Lake. It
is one of natural tourisms and a mangroves for hundreds species of fresh water fishes and birds and
decorated with ethnic stilted houses line over the water surface up to the air. The villages are primarily
Khmer and have about 3000 inhabitants between them, most of who live in stilted houses. You will have a
great opportunity to learn about their lifestyle and how do they live on the lake.
Afternoon, we will visit the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya, which flourished in the late 9th
and early 10th Centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred as the Roluos
group. The three Roluos temples are Bakong Temple Mountain with wonderful carvings on the false
doors and lintels, the funerary temple of Preah Ko, Lolei Temple with the Roluos group’s most exquisite
carvings and inscriptions.
